K&J Rabbits

Just recently, I helped a fellow rabbit breeder launch their own rabbit website:  K&J Rabbits

Although their website is still pretty much under construction, we’ve got the basics down plus we are adding lots of info and pictures almost daily.

The Keisers raise Harlequins, Mini Rex, Holland Lops and Jersey Woolies in south central Wisconsin.  They also have a segment of their website devoted to their new hamstery - Sea Mea Hamsters, where Jenna raises Campbell’s Dwarf Hamsters.

As soon as Brenda sets up her new blog though WordPress, I’ll publish that link on their site too - I’m sure they have lots to write about and report!

Thanks for visiting a fellow-breeder’s website, and have a great day!

New blog as of 11/8/06

Last week, our Google Blogger started giving us major problems…..wouldn’t publish despite all the ftp info being correct and despite nothing being wrong with my server (where that blog resided)  After going almost a week with no response to our many reports of problems with Blogger, I decided I had wasted enough time and got a different weblog.

I found Word Press and boy what a difference!  I first emailed their tech support with a few basic questions, and I’ll be dipped, but someone got back to me within the hour with answers to my questions!  Of course I had to pursue new blogs through Word Press…

My blogs were very easy to sign up for, very easy to set up and they are free.  There are many, many choices for design, many of which the css-literate can modify if they choose.  Since I fall into the dumbo-internet-illerate category, I was relieved to find that even I can modify many of the templates to my own choosing - this is a cool feature!

Since the blogs are housed on their servers, publishing is instantly done.  They also offer many upgrade options one can purchase, including the software to install your blog on your own server.

I highly recommend visiting WordPress.com if you are interested in getting your own weblog - you can be up an running in less than 10 minutes!

I’ll be back to posting rabbit and cavy stuff pretty soon here - a little more tweaking to our blogs is what I plan to do today.

Got the link to our new blog published - enjoy!

I had to run home and publish the link to our new weblog on The Rabbit & Cavy Directory site…suppose I’ll have to head back to work now.

I am just so excited to be able to post again - I’ve had lots of things I want to write about; new breeder listings, new websites and cool sites, plus some of the ARBA Convention stuff.

Now…I just need a bit of spare time to put this news into words!
